A Little Background
Yvonne's pottery and sculpture spans a vsriety of approaches. Although she primarily produces functional wheel thrown ware, she will also handbuild pieces that are a hybrid of sculptural and functional or purely sculptural forms.
She is not afraid to imbue her imagery with a sense of humor. She has also cast her sculptures in bronze and takes pride in handling all aspects of the process on her own. As the web gallery develops, you will be able to view her works from a variety of angles and purchase them directly from this website.

Yvonne Desrosiers holds a BA in art from Indiana University and an MA in sculpture from Ball State University. She has been seriously pursuing art endeavors since her high school years and has been creating art for over 40 years. She had juggled family and a full-time secondary school art teaching assignment along with art production until her retirement from teaching in May of 2013. She now has to freedom to devote herself to creative activities.
Through the decades Desrosiers habored a passion for playing guitar. In 2008 she decided to get serious about her playing and began studying with premiere fingerstyle guitarist, Richard Gilewitz.
This association fueled the fire and has led to the serious pursuit of learning guitar and advocating for solo performers.
